My grandad, George Hornby, was a lovely man who always wanted to help everyone with any problems they had; from fixing toys for his grandchildren to helping fix cars and houses for his family and friends. Sadly he passed away after he went for knee replacement surgery. Complications after the opperation resulted in him having problems breathing. Before he went into surgery, he said to everyone that he had to get better so he could see his eldest granddaughter get married in June 2014. Also to see me, his grandson, do a driving experience. He sadly died the day before and never got the chance to see me drive. I did it for him. Family and friends miss him everyday and he will always be in our hearts. This is the reason why I want to help the BLF, so that no one goes through what we have been through and so just as my grandad helped everybody I will help the BLF in their fund raising.
